Sum Siccus

Sum Siccus, a Latin name playfully veiling “I’m thirsty,” is Denis Alber’s odyssey into the world of wine. Reflecting the sunlight that nurtures vineyards here and elsewhere, he transforms 19th-century poetry into melodies, from Charles Baudelaire to Paul Verlaine, including Victor Hugo, Jean Richepin, Gaston Couté, and Omar Khayyam.

With Yannick Barman’s electro trumpet, they explore together the intoxicated shades of joy, melancholy, and madness that wine inspires. A fusion of voice, guitar, and brass, Sum Siccus elevates the drink into art.
