Raul Paz

An ambassador for a new generation of Cubans in the West and the embodiment of contemporary Cuban music, Raúl Paz presents himself as the ‘guajiro chic’, or ‘chic peasant musician’. Born on the island during the Castro era and dreaming of European classical music, he left Cuba in 1994 to study music in Paris. After fifteen years and a career that took him to the Olympia and the Zénith, he returned to his homeland, to a life closer to his roots and values. His mission today is to promote Cuban music and young talent internationally.
