Le sourd parle
Le Sourd parle has set to music a series of texts by the trash poet Emery (1960-1996) from Valais.
Haunted by religion and its violence, he published a dozen little-known and incandescent texts, including ‘Urgence’, ‘Le texte du sang’ and ‘Le sourd parle’.
Accompanied by Marco Sierro on cello and Claude Tabarini on percussion, Gilles Mauron (guitar, vocals) and Yann Emery (double bass) have set these texts to music, creating a sound somewhere between Les Têtes Raides, Calexico, Bertrand Belin and Shipping News.
